We unload and fire up in town. Pleased knowing that I have changed out the lower drive bearings and changed the primary because of an odd looking roller (not flat, but done, roughly 6000 miles!) I am looking forward to a ride to Lake Land with the boys. It has been long over due and with the upcoming No trespassing laws on the horizon maybe the last as we know it.

Immediately I notice my Speedometer is not registering. A concern, but having just "been in there" I am assuming the magnet for the pickup fell out of place during reassembly. Shitty but not the end of the day. Everything else is a go.

Warmed up we pull out. My sled is running strong Yah00OOoooooo...not so fast 2 miles out 100 feet from a road crossing next to the No Rock Nis, the whole gauge head goes out. I shut it off.

I double back for the truck, Plan B.

The boys decide to try out the newly routed Prince Albert snowmobile club trail that runs thru the Nis and around to Stobart. I will truck it down there and meet for lunch. It is what it is.
