This ravine starts inland and runs a few miles turning into the scenic St. Laurent-Grandin Buffalo Jump.
If you follow the ravine you will find that it is terraced like a Japanese garden in the mountains.
The Pines Cabin. The next time I go looking for this cabin it is "Gone!"
One old homestead  remains on the edge of the Nisbet.

Back later in the day we venture in a little further over one beaver dam and pond, then another.
We This lone tree was left over from a day when there was a lot less water backed up here by the beavers
This was at least a couple KM's in on these terraced  ponds in the ravine.
This is as far as we feel safe on the ice. After this next beaver dam there is a big 20' drop to the next pond!
