10: AM We are fired up, all the sleds cabled together for the night.
We went shopping at the local CO-OP then mixed up a breakfast! The weather is crisp, rolling the secondarys in "right out of gear" seems important to me as we "commence fire up". I am truly holding my breath as the the 4 strokes crank ever so slowly....RUMPH!

One by one everything comes to life!! Some people don't realize just how crucial this moment is...a make it or break it time...

Camera rolling we pull out of town and are...headed out across the
 Stubble fields
for Fort a la Corne when....

Our ride is interrupted by...OK WHAT HAPPENED? Did it go down like this
 "

...This is a way to cool! The
Whitefox  and forest border is fun, kudos to the nearby fields to the low lands and sweeping valley like hilly corners!

We...wait for everyone to reappear out of the trees.
...hammer down across the rural country side headed for some secluded spots along the Forte a la Corne Forest boundary. ...pound the road side banks and beyond before heading out.

Meadow by the Whitefox to other little meadows and bays along the forest!
Fun ride 'n!

We wait while our chap leading, pokes around the forest edge, for  small meadows.
We ride past the log buildings we visited last year, first found by the Whitefox in
 2010.

Following our leader,
-he checks out a creek crossing we attempted to climb in
 2015 ?
-then the Lost Hiway crossing,
-then an
  Old Trail
we had seen on a map that his Grandfather used to use.

Because of these cold powder snow conditions I think I see a

5 minutes of carving powder before we find our way

 "
DOWN TO THE RIVER!"  for a nice BBQ.

 I dragged in this tree!

 We start make 'n fire!

Who is this?
Man we have been so busy...dragging in wood make 'n a fire...

...where have you been? Is that snow on your machine a clue?
There we are. Now lets put the wood to 'er and cook some dogs!
Due to a
"SITUATION "  out of our control we have put out our "river fire" and are going to go
 "SEARCHING!"

One by one we fire up...I think our guide said his buddy the one that rode back onto town for repairs this morning had started out again to meet us...

 ...but his engine just went
 "Boom boom  boom"
OUCH!!!

..our awesome BBQ location.

I have been watching for all these years for these granaries! I remember them vaguely from our trip up the lost hiway and thru here in
 2010 .

It looks to me, one quick trip at speed over that hill and you would end up...

..."going over the Cliff"
and then crashing thru the roof of an old wooden granary!!

Looking for the downed sled in the cold weather, we head N, NE and circle around back to Choiceland after a bunch of miles taking up the tail with buddy leading. Receiving new information and seeing a suspicious set of 1 way tracks up along the edge of the highway, we get the updated downed sleds location. At least we can help load it in a truck.

Heading west out of town running hard on the tail of our group, I see the perfect opportunity to log on a couple miles flat out with the rest of the group unknowingly running steadily and safely along the highway in the ditch. Now I notice that I have picked a certain white 800, someone zeroing in...I give that Saber Cat's tail a little twist......
..."let's go bi_  _  _!

Yea some more of the
STORY comes out loading this bad boy onto a truck.

It turns out we have rode together before, just not as briefly! Then a few miles later and there was 6, and...
...we take on some new country...
...ourselves!
