We start out in the late morning so that the machines have some time to warm up from the -35 C + wind-chill trip up to Duck Lake.
We ditch it to some remote access to the Nisbet Forest.


So far so good, we have an enthusiastic group here and the cold is not stopping us with the right gear, and warm snowmobiles.

We are headed across some small lakes.
Nothing like making our own own tracks...
...in some Duck Lake area Eskers.
  Some neat old iron besides...
...this is a nice example of an old pioneer log homestead.
