RIDE'N WITH THE BOYZ
March 15, 2008

We ride from Macdowall, our goal to ride to Emma. It was unsuccessful, there was some huge stretches of country out in the open that was so wind blown we just took a vote and said "the hell with it" and instead, we rode S-SW 20 miles cross-country following the winding, fully entertaining Shellbrook River, for a serious Formula One type ride, just about right into Shellbrook. A small amount of paint and rivets were traded on route.

An
Abandoned Railway corridor thru the forest... .

...that looks inviting!
We are on the way to Emma Lake so, No Getting off course.

Now this is a treat.........to bad we haven't time to stay and explore.

"We'll Be Back!"

The view looks pretty interesting!

We'll have to try and find this spot another day.

Hmm.....
Saskatchewan foothills?

Judging by some of the
TRACKS it looks like someone had twenty miles an hour to much!

Stick 'n close to the tree lines the snow is great, but out in the open she's like the ocean, frozen in motion, damn hard going for anyone unable to stand.

Stopp'n for a breather, the Old Shellbrook river, has got some arms limp from pull'n on the bars, and some riders puff'n with all we've got!

She's Formula One all the way down these rivers.

Looking South. We exit the valley close to Shellbrook. That river just winds off to the East.

Every one is pulling a little wheelie as they exit the Shellbrook river valley back onto the rolling  Stubble fields  .
