RIDE'N WITH THE BOYZ
JANUARY 19th, 2014

10:02 AM Warmed up and ready to pull out of Duck Lake.

10:34 AM We hit some pretty aggressive cut lines and great back country snow conditions.

10:54 AM After a series of rolling eskers and back country bush land the others start to emerge!

11:03 AM We reach the St. Laurent ferry crossing on the South Branch.

Looking up stream the river is it's traditional rough looking.

12:06 PM We arrive at Little Crooked Lake near
St. Isidore de Bellevue.

I had left our actual destination on the vague side, so it was a surprise when we rode down Little Crooked Lake and found this Vintage Oval race underway.

12:13 PM
#1
S.V.O.R.A. Bellevue event.
T

12:50 PM We are joined by other friends who trailered in. Their are quite a few who have ridden their sleds to this race.

We hang out and chat in between races. This is when you hear all the stories about the oval racing days of the '70s!

1:32 PM After watching races for awhile we head north looking for St. Louis and lunch.

Someone is Stuck down in this slough bottom with the  Bulrushes!

We find a play area in the prairies on the way.

A huge snow bank clobbers one of our riders!
