We get unloaded in Larid at the arena where the Derby starts.


While on the derby we make a stop by the historic Fort Carlton.
The Old Carlton Crossing
We head up the "Green Lake Trail".
From here we crisscross the country side into Shellbrook for lunch and fuel.

Heading out of Shellbrook country we ride thru the Nisbet to the Steep Creek river crossing.
Looking down the trail and across the river.
There is more than one way 15 feet down out of the bush here!
We regroup on the North Branch.

A surprise vehicle on Cut Across Trail,. She's a little over cooked!

We get back on the Larid derby route in time to find the half way point where food and fuel is available. A couple of us need fuel and a couple don't.
OK, where is that fort that we saw in the morning?
