..we are looking to start our day in the direction that we had originally planed in 2018. "The proposed route in red on this map from last year.

Most of the guys we had topped up with fuel Saturday before we shut the sleds down for the night.

We end up on a section of road allowance that does not have a bridge for crossing the Whitefox River a way to early in the day to start crossing a river the hard way when the next road allowance will accommodate us. We have no idea how long this day is going to get !!!

SR7 A promising trail but another disappointment.

OK I walked for 1K thru the heavy bush along the trail that was blocked with heavy timber. Looked like a plow wind had come thru here. Heavy bush and 2 feet of snow straight to a dead end. Never even made close enough to see the river. Getting my exercise!

This short video was us coming back out of the valley.

But at least a disappointment we could turn around and ride out of. Certainly the least of our concerns. Now with this last turn around we are rattling the sabers and talking fuel.

This is going to be a

A LONG LONG ROAD!!
"Is there one more chance to save my soul?"

Having just come to the conclusion that we have made a wrong turn....and put on another 15 miles...We split up the 10L SR7 Kid is carrying on his   CF 800  !!!

After this fuel stop we are looking
 "So Much!"
to...get to our next stop.

OK we have called on our friend with the truck to bring us a few more jerry cans. Most of us take on fuel some like myself more than others. I may not be riding my own red 700, but the same in a 144 Black model. Not my sled, I am conservative on the throttle, still breaking trail I am using a lot of fuel.

 "Oh Yeah !!! "

A Here we go again!!

We pull out of the forest and seek out the shelter of some trees in the back country. This is up against the border of the forest to wait for the back up vehicle with fuel. No sense running out, out in the open wind somewhere. Then someone starts YAKING about how their 800 is faster and better on fuel than my 700 s %@#$%@#$%@ !!!

We are not out of the woods yet....so to speak.

After this call for buddy to bring us fuel...again....unbelievably we only make it about 5 miles when out of the blue Mr 800 Renegade flags us down frantically....he did not take on any gas...
(apparently his 800 ETec
 doesn't use gas LOL)

...but his fuel gauge just went from 3/4's to 1/4 !!! Man we tried to put a stick in it when we were waiting back at the ditch....to no avail. We should of tried harder is all I can say... LOL

Most of us ride the shoulder of the road in dusk windy conditions into Muskaday to conserve fuel...setting a good example for Mr Renegade
(Don't need any gas...heard that before LOL !!)

SR7 nite ride back. A bit of The video speaks for itself, windblown banks, tracks from just 2 days ago undistinguishable  night riding in county I have not before. Scouring the countryside for landmarks and accompanying yard lights, we miss an important one but knowing this once we come across a road allowance it is a simple matter to cautiously "get back on track"
