We unload in Macdowall, the streets are bare but there is lots of snow elsewhere.	We stop for a breather on Fire Guard Trail on route to Miners Creek Trail then back to Elk Trail.	Looking east up the Elk Trail from the decent down to the North Branch on the Steep Creek river crossing.	Looking north on the North Branch. From the east side.

		This is the entrance to the Steep Creek crossing Hill Climb up to the NW section of Nisbet near Shellbrook.	Next stop an old farm yard near the Nisbet. Traveling thru the snow here I hit an old piece of machinery in the snow. Pretty strong "jolt."
	We take a breather.	A newbie reflects on this "long ride!"	Leaving this yard site I blow up my belt for the year. I had been trimming some frayed cords off of it sometime earlier.
Back in the burn after lunch in Shellbrook we are close to the Holbein Crossing. We are right next to a trail that appears to drop vertically down the River valley slope... a one way looking deal. We are not going that way so will pass for today!!	We hit the pond on Miners Creek.	Crank her up!
