Only a few miles from the truck,
one of our own goes missing! MIA would be an under statement! |
An examination of Mr. Rev 600's tracks tells the tale.
If you look closely you can see he straightened out on the edge
of the road, in
MR Rev's words....... |
......
"There was no chance of
passing in between the trees with the skis pointing back towards
the trail!!"
Under these circumstances, The
sled just did not turn, we were not pushing it very hard,
considering the drop off that awaits you here. |
Yes this is where Mr. Rev went down!
...we chat about this... did I read
about this in Super Trax or Snow Tech Magazine? |
After this little excursion down thru the trees, across...
..The Old Carlton Crossing.. |
...and up the "Green
Lake Trail".
If there is a time and a place this is it! |
Riding
Shotgun in some
Saskatchewan fields! |
A pit stop after some Shotgun
fields and a stout pull down the Green Lake trail. |
A little excited we have a new "Hit a Deer Story!" or definitely
"Just nicked a deer storey!" |
What are these old guys even talking about we didn't see no
deer! |
Just back a mile or 2 Mr. Polaris twin starts to overheat
continuously. This just a few miles after the pull rope broke
off in the rewind assembly...we chat about this... did I read
about this in Super Trax or Snow Tech Magazine? |
...at the end of this particular trail, the truck and trailer arrive
to haul in Mr. 700 Polaris Twin.
|
"Racing" the truck and trailer "yours truly" hits a
blow thru snowbank
sideways and flipped right over 360 degrees landing back on the
skis. You had to be there! I get chucked off! |
On route again we are headed north past a small cemetery. |
If you look closely ahead at this back road corridor, that is
where we are headed! This will take us to Shellbrook. |
After lunch in Shellbrook we head SE to the Nisbet.
Out on crystal smooth
Callaghan Lake.
|
All done but the digging, I am stuck. |
A
Storm
is brewing in the Nisbet. |
Not sure what the best formula is
for a good Storm on a nice sunny day like today is! |
Another untouched meadow in the Nisbet. |
|
We stop for a rest on Lily Plain Trail. Not a track in sight. |
And with my back to the sun, it is getting late in the day. |
|
A few left over's from the turn of the century. |
From this old farm yard we will be smoke 'in 'er for Wingard. |
