8:47 AM Gooood Morning Sunshine!

After scouting a couple local towns for a decent staging area, I stop in and get permissions from a gas station owner.

BEFORE

9:36 AM Unloaded and ready to rock!
Kinda unexpected we get company who would like to visit just moments before our departure! When its time to go its time to go man !!
"COME WITH ME NOW!"

This 600 Triple is a treat to ride. With 2000 Kms (1240 miles)  on the clock the chassis is tight and she handles and steers like new. For that matter a way better than new. The upgraded carbides and 1.25" track put it on the button. Point and shout, and you are allready there.
(This project was bought with 2ooo original KMs) the Duallys are biting real nice on the groomed trail. Slot car like point and shoot.

The 1.25" track is matched nicely, in the short off trail slough bottom 1-2' of snow fires out the back just lifting the nose enough to make it all happen. This is not a SCUD missile as we used to call a lot of snowmobile models in the deeper snow.

On buddies video I am caught "red handed" man and I was just turning the sled around and couldn't pass up hearing the triple "largely unrestricted" howl thru this couple snow drifts we had down in this slough bottom. Putting this page together and linking my Safe Snowmobiling snowmobiling practices
page.......MAN !
there is no mention or picture recommending a
Helmet.....oh well you get the picture....or you should !!
OK, found it under

So lets get rolling and go for a ride down "A long and winding road"!!

A little ways down the groomed trail I get a little to brave, up near the edge of a few larger, hard, snowbanks that are blown in....oh boy !!

I am getting off of my ride, and I made a little "Mistake" !! All good, just landed on my ass.

At least knew when to exit, not exactly gracefully but it was an exit !! The forces of gravity were "Tearing me apart"  about the time I just simply ran out of talent !!

I was able to get up and "Walk away"  !!

It would appear that I thought for a minute there that I  was another
was
"Steve McQueen" !!

I am going to put it into high gear and hum a little tune....something "Rock 'N roll", lets go !!

We pull into the restaurant in Hague for a little snack.

Heading back, and switching sleds I do notice that our
Red Head Triple
 600 SX DX
(121 x 1.25
)  is maybe shifting a little late, running 9000 a little longer than it should.
(This is the first time I actually put a battery in it and had the tachometer light up.)

MOTOR

HEAD

Although by ear the sled sounds "Happy" , I always did wonder if top end was just a little short. If is slow to shift up this may be the issue. So slow shift = revs a hair to high=out of the power band leaving cards on the table.

A quick snap of the secondary and I compare to our other 600 Triple 121....2 different settings, glancing at the hitch I suspect someone tightened the secondary delaying the shift so the snowmobile could pull a load more comfortably. Further examination is required. I will carry a spare secondary with me next time, a five minute deal.
Revelation, I take a snap of the secondary to compare to one of my other 600 Triples.....wat du HEL...the holes in the secondary helix are not punched through...?...really.... this is going to have to come off !!
